Nominate for the National Medal of Technology:
    Nominations are requested for the 2001 National Medal of
    Technology, the nation's highest honor for technological achievement,
    presented annually by the President of the United States. The
    medal honors men and women whose "extraordinary works in
    research, development, and design have made significant
    contributions to U.S. prosperity and competitiveness and to
    our overall quality of life." Deadline for nominations: Dec. 15.
    Individual and team applications are available in the
